This is how Conero Sea came about: with the support of the Marche ESF+ Programme 2021-2027, co-funded by the European Union.

The operation

A business born
of the sea

Every day Conero Sea takes its guests from Numana Marina along the Conero Riviera: the cliffs of the Monte, Portonovo Bay, Le Due Sorelle, the caves and coves that can only be reached by sea. This activity came about through an operation co-funded by the European Union, under the Marche Region public call supporting the creation of new businesses.

The grant — a non-repayable lump sum — supported the start-up of the business: on-board equipment and safety systems for guests, the setting up of the service and the building of a multilingual digital presence, a website presenting the tours, the destinations, the photo gallery and aerial videos of the coast and allowing guests to request a booking directly.

The aim of the regional measure is to generate new businesses and new job opportunities. Here it takes the shape of a new experiential-tourism company, in a territory — the Conero Regional Park — that asks tourism for care and restraint.

Aims

  • Create a new business and new job opportunities in experiential tourism along the Conero Riviera.
  • Launch a sea excursion service with proper standards of safety, comfort and hospitality on board.
  • Build the company’s multilingual digital presence, from presenting the tours to taking booking requests.
  • Contribute to diversifying the tourism offer and spreading visitor flows beyond the peak season along the Marche coast.

Results

  • Business set up and operating with its premises in the Marche region, as required by the call.
  • Excursion service running from Numana Marina, with on-board equipment and safety systems for guests.
  • Multilingual website presenting the tours, destinations, gallery, videos and a direct booking request.
  • New employment and operational continuity for the business along the Conero Riviera.
